Elizabeth Fullington, former student and daughter of Ruby Holland, maintaines the core principles and teaching philosophy of her mother. Elizabeth has been involved with education for all of her life - over 40 years. Her teaching debut was in her mother's studio at the age of 12 and she has continued to teach the piano, instilling love and passion for the art of music, with students as young as four years old.
Elizabeth completed her LRSM (Licentiate of Music), under the auspices of the Royal Schools of Music and later studied under celebrated pianist, Mr. William Hackett of Bridgetown, Barbados. Elizabeth also possesses a Bachelors Degree in Education, a further enhancement to her teaching style and methods.
Elizabeth believes in music being functional and that it should be taught like any other language. It's the art of sound and her students are taught the importance of listening to their music. Of great importance also is their understanding of the basic rudiments of music training - reading, writing, practice and performance.
Elizabeth's goal as a teacher is to make the art of music joyful and alive and at the same time provide students a rich legacy that goes with them through their future life experiences.
