A music teacher’s goal should always be to nurture, unearth and develop this talent.” From our experiences over the years, we have found that teaching music as a foreign language does set a sound foundation for the young learner. Success is especially seen when we expose students to hands on and involved experiences within the music environment. We work at blending tradition with innovative teaching techniques to provide students of music a rich array of quality experiences designed to develop love and passion for this art.
The RHSM Music Studio is a privately run exclusive and progressive music school. We follow a structured and highly creative music curriculum. Students are inspired and challenged to learn to read, analyze, perform and memorize music repertoire. We show students to see the similarities in music studies and other art forms and show parallels in areas of their academic studies. The application of logic and reasoning in mathematics and punctuation and phrasing of the English language studies are gently paralleled and unearthed during music lesson sessions.
Detailed weekly lessons are planned for each student and are designed to appeal to different learning styles and abilities. Lessons are developed using the best and innovative techniques and methods to instill learning. Programs are implemented to inspire and reinforce learning. Learning materials span an array of music methods and books from both the United States and United Kingdom.
Evaluation and measurement tools are in place to assess each child’s growth and development. Our ultimate goal is to develop a well-rounded and musically sound student.
